Gentry Farmers’ Market

Gentry Farmers’ Market will this year be the Coop Market and will be located in a yet-to-be-built structure at the Chicken Coop Flea Market. An opening date has been set for May 2. Gentry High Prom set for April 4

Gentry High School’s prom date has been set for Saturday, April 4. An after-prom breakfast is being planned following the formal event.
Each year parents, family members and area businesses have worked together to provide a safe, alcohol-free event for students, following the prom.

Store to stay open

Gentry’s only full-line grocery store will stay open after all.
Gentry’s Save Mart grocery store came close to closing. Its last day was slated for Sunday, March 29. But after some re-evaluation at Affiliated Foods, a decision was made to keep the store open – good news for Gentry residents.

Spring blossoms and threat of freeze

Peach and nectarine trees were in full blossom last week at Taylor’s Orchard in Gentry. As long as temperatures remain above freezing, the likelihood of an abundant fruit crop looks good. Weather forecasters, however, are predicting the possibility of some freezing temperatures and snow showers this Saturday.
