Farmers’ market offering fresh produce today
Local farmers and gardeners were selling their fresh produce today on the west side of the Chicken Coop Flea Market, on Gentry’s Main street just west of Arkansas Highway 59. A large shelter is being built for the market on the east side of the business, but vendors will continue to use the west side until the building is finished.
Everything from flowers, turnips, carrots, onions and blueberries were for sale today. One young lad, with the help of his mother, is learning some business sense by selling berries at the market this summer. For more information on his story, see next week’s print edition of the Courier-Journal.
