A few photos that just wouldn’t fit
Every week, it seems, there are quite a number of photos that just wouldn’t fit in the paper. We often save them and try to get them in the following week, but still we don’t always get them in.
Below are a few of those photos which we would have liked to include, but lacked the space.

In addition to other events at Highfill Hay Daze, a car show was held with many old cars on display.

To illustrate the effects of alcohol on driving skills, a special set of goggles were used at Highfill's Hay Daze to simulate what it may be like to drive while under the influence. Highfill's office clerk Jeanetta Evans is at the wheel in the photograph.

Numerous planes landed at Cherokee Strip for the Third Annual Cherokee Strip Fly-in, an event held by Don and Lorrie Amos Saturday on their farm near Cherokee City.

Not only planes, but hellicopters landed at the Amos farm for the fly-in on Saturday. The one above was just leaving. For a story on the event and more photos, see Page 16 of the September 23 print edition of the Gentry Courier-Journal.
